All that glitters is not gold (although as my friend Sabina said, the important thing is that it shines!) Focusing on us, being backpackers, travel and have too much time at your disposal It seems to be the best there is, no doubt! But ... there is always a but, and in our case that but it has to do with those moments when we have not known what to do with so much dead time: in the long bus hours between one destination and another, waiting for the planes, or lying on the beach without having anything to do (what a great effort huh?).

Have you seen the “The Terminal” movie? Ok, it's very unlikely that we have as much time as Tom Hanks ... but whoever travels often knows that there are always delays (especially if it's the return trip and you're working ...). So today we are going to give you some ideas about things to do when you get bored in the dead times of a trip!

TIC TAC, TIC TAC!

In airports it is easy for me to spend time:

1- Free makeup

Yes, I know, it is anti-hygienic to put on makeup in the shops of the airport but go ... who does not? I have seen the most beautiful girls do it, old, young, European, American, Asian ... everything! We love women makeup and if it is free more! And with a few drops of perfume (free) the trip will be sweeter!

2- Visual shopping

We have no money to spend on expensive stores in the terminal, but looking is free! And if there are libraries you can go read some lines of the Lonely Planet of your next destination!

3- WiFi power

Almost in all airports there is free Wi-Fi, and if I adore the Internet, waiting time problem solved!

4- Find out about the airport

Most airports offer nothing special, but there are some that… .wow! For example, Singapore's Chiangi Airport offers TV rooms with X-box, music, exhibitions, gardens ... and if your stopover is long and allows it, you can join a free city tour!

But if you are in an 8-hour bus without Wi-Fi, without a store or make up for free ... what can you do?

5- Talk to people

The funniest situations always arise suddenly, and maybe the guy who sits next to you has a thousand anecdotes to tell you! People are always the best !!! What do you not understand the language? Talking with gestures is the most! Try and see. And why not learn a few words in the local language to hang out with fellow travelers?

6- Take out the Shakespeare in you

Do you have a blog or travel notebook? Up date! Having noted the emotions you have lived, the places you have visited and the people you have met will be your best souvenir!

7- Play

Whatever ... letters, I see I see, sudoku, or a game on mobile, that matters little! You will see that time will pass faster. You can also sing like on school trips haha

8- Music and movies

Sometimes there is nothing better than your favorite music, so charge your mp3 batteries! And if you carry a tablet or laptop, do not forget to upload a movie or series, get comfortable and enjoy!

9- The old good book

It never fails! You don't feel like sitting 8 hours on that bus? Escape (with fantasy I say!). Books make you travel, always ...

10- Plan

Plan your trip, read something about your next destination, calculate the latest expenses and your budget, take the time to do what you never do, or that you never feel like…

And above all ... you have the time you've always wanted, so JUST RELAX!!!

So far our tips on things to do when you get bored... if you know more tell us!
