Known to many as The city of light or of the seven hills, we have to say that Lisbon is for us one of our favorite cities in Europe (and the world). Although we are aware that there are countless things to see and do in Lisbon, we have made a list of 50 that include the ones we liked the most in our 4-day trip to Lisbon.

1. Take the Santa Justa Elevator to get to the Alto neighborhood and enjoy the views while climbing.
2. Visit the ruins of the Carmo Convent, a church with the sky as a roof.
3. Stroll along Avenida da Liberdade, full of monuments, cafes, mosaics and old buildings.
4. Enjoy the Lisbon views from the beautiful viewpoint of Santa Lucia with its garden and its tiles.
5. Visit the Sé, the Lisbon Cathedral. One of the 10 essential places to visit in Lisbon.
6. Get lost in the Alfama neighborhood, the most charming neighborhood in Lisbon. A good option to learn more about the history and curiosities of the neighborhood is to book this guided tour or this free tour of the Alfama neighborhood, both with a guide in Spanish.

7. Go up to the Castle of San Jorge and enjoy its views, some of the best things to see and do in Lisbon.
